NW3 is for the most part comprised of Hampstead and Belsize Park, but also includes portions of Frognal, Childs Hill, South Hampstead, Swiss Cottage, Primrose Hill, Chalk Farm and Gospel Oak. Encompassing some of the most desirable residential areas in Greater London, NW3 residents benefit from attractive architecture, great transport links and their close proximity to Hampstead Heath’s 790 acres of protected parkland. Significant amounts of the area’s residential streets are also protected, leaving them largely unchanged from their days of Victorian grandeur.
Located within the Borough of Camden, Hampstead is one of the most affluent areas in London and contains some of the most architecturally diverse housing in the UK. Hampstead is home to more millionaires than anywhere else in the country, and this is not without reason: Hampstead ‘Village’ straddles the expansive parkland of Hampstead Heath and is awash with boutique retailers, theatres, museums and a wide array of cafes, restaurants and bars.
Like much of North-West London, the wealth of the area is tempered by a liberal undercurrent introduced by the various artists and intellectuals that have made Hampstead their home for many years. This sense of community can be seen in the various events, markets and local activities that take place annually.
